One of our favorite activities when our local grandchildren are visiting is playing Hide and Seek inside our home. It’s especially fun to play with the new rooms creating many additional hiding places. Everyone plays: My Beloved, nearly-six-year-old Thomas, fourteen-month-old Riley, our two dogs Sadie and Penny, and me. Due to the still-mostly-empty new rooms the shrieks of delight, surprise, and excitement, echo throughout our home. We sometimes come up with silly hiding places to add to the fun. One of the places I “hid” last night was behind this 48″ long cloth fish. I stood in a corner of my still-empty new office with the lights on holding what until now had not had a name. I think I’ll call him George. I’m 5′ 11″ and both taller and wider than George. It was one of my more inspired hiding places.
I plan to introduce Hide and Seek by Flashlight when they get a bit older.
With Love,
Russ
